Usually don't review restraints, but this place is awesome. Have ordered twice now and great both times. Try the pastrami, it is the bees knees. Also staff was polite and professional and made good recommendations for me since I did not know what to get. One of my new favorites.

Ok sandwiches. Nothing great. Would maybe go again. Will check out other sandwich places first

Found Obee's thru Siri, driving along I-25--thought it was terrific! Friendly staff that actually connected with me in the middle of a busy time. Excellent subs (get 'em toasted if you can) with loads of extras. Next time I'll pay better attention and try one of their special sauces. Yum!!

Fresh cut meat on yummy bread and an awesome selections of toppings choices including about 20 hot sauces. Great taste and awesome service. Not too many places doing the fresh cut meat when you order. I got a cold sandwich and hubby got a hot one, both were exceptionally tasty. We will be back!

Sandwiches are delicious and packed with meat and toppings. Everything is very fresh and they have any topping you could want. Friendly service and good price.

I'll start off by saying that I absolutely love this place. However it seems like each time I go here my opinion drops a little bit. My latest experience was not even good enough to say it was better than subway. I decided to try a Sandwhich I hadn't tried before. The chicken Caesar as I had to workout later that night and I wanted to have something sit well. This was a huge mistake. For the 8" that almost costs $7 (same price as other subs) I got a tiny piece of frozen chicken that was covered in a huge piece of lettuce. Well over half of the bites were just bread and lettuce which is not appetizing as the part I love most about this place is the amount of meat they give you. Needless to say I will not be getting the chicken Caesar again... I give them two stars due to the lack of consistency within their menu...

Obee's is not your typical run of the mill franchise sub shop. Rather, this is a great place to get a sub with from someone who cares about making a sandwich. The bread is fantastic, and the selection of sandwiches is stellar, fro the GutBuster to the Italian, to the chicken sandwiches. Best of all, the owner is there all the time, knows a lot of the customers by name, and so do all of his employees. I would recommend Obee's as a great sub shop in Fort Collins!

Good sandwich spot! I haven't been too adventurous yet as I have only gotten the Italian sandwich, which was pretty awesome! I will definitely have to try some of their other sandwiches. I love how they slice your meat right there in front of you. It makes it that much more authentic and tasty it seems! While I like this place, there are so many great sandwich shops in this town it is hard to love just one... But thankfully this place is right next to the gym, so I may go here a bit more in the future now that I've found that it's good!

The GM Shawn was not the nicest guy on the planet - and I think Choice City, Cheba Hut, and Deli works are better.

I ordered lunch in today. The ordering options (grubhub/ online ordering) are really awesome. The food is nothing special.

Good subs, I like the bread, soft and chewy, big selection. This place is busy during lunch and the line can move slow.

I've been on the hunt for a good chicken salad sandwich in Fort Collins. I had high hopes for obee's but it was honestly the worst chicken salad sand I've ever had. Super bland and no fruit to sweeten it up. It didn't help that the lettuce was soggy and gross. I don't even want to try their other selections because this one was so bad.

Great sandwiches for a good price. Easy delivery too. Tried them for the first time last night, and they were awesome. Highly recommend them!

I have started this review about six times now. I started it with vivid imagery. I started it again with something funny. I started it again with things I have heard about this place from my friends. Then I realized... none of those things were the right way to start this. This place is just a straight forward sandwich joint. So why shouldn't my review just be straight forward too? I love this place. Love it. The guys behind the counter are awesome. I get confused ordering cause I like watching them work. Fresh meats and cheeses cut in front of you. A case of fresh cut veggies to choose from. This is a little sandwich tailor. Made to fit you perfectly. I cant tell you what is so spectacular about this place. There aren't 40 different herb crusted artisan breads to choose from. There isn't anything out of the ordinary. But maybe that is just it. The chicken noodle soup rocks too. Nuff' said.

One word - FRESH. This place is standing out in the classical subway sandwich eateries by doing everything from scratch and the people that come here know this. Obee's bread is baked daily, meat is cured and sliced right there in front of you, their cheese and other ingredients are fresh from local sources. You'll taste the difference in their sandwiches versus other chains such as Subway and Quizno's. The only reason they don't get the 5th star is that the dining and decor is kinda weird with old board games as wall art. They use large Styrofoam cups for their drinks, which doesn't make me feel good about the environment. Overall, the dining setting is one that makes me want to eat my sandwich quickly and leave. I would be better ordering it to-go. I'm very pleased to have this unique sandwich shop in Fort Collins and I hope for their continued success!

I placed a delivery order and was told it would be 45 mins max. Over an hour later I called to see where my order was to find out they never even made the order. I was told " do you still want it or what" when I asked for the manager I was told he was the manager and he didn't care if I got the order or not and they weren't going to even make it. He then hung up on me. 16+ was still pended to my bank account for food I never even got! Horrible service. Will never order from them again.

Hands down best sub in town. Hidden gem lived around this area all my life and didn't know it was here. Unmatched/unreal meats and bread. Try the chicken bacon or cheese steak. Could eat here everyday.

A lot of the reviews on Feasting Fort Collins deserve second chances, particularly the reviews from when I first started. My writing has grown, my experience as a critic matured, my expectations realistic for Fort Collins (although, still very optimistic). Some restaurants made mistakes, and sometimes I was the one who made them. A few readers tried to convince me that my initial review of Obee's was a mistake. I take comments from readers seriously. While I find it interesting that people don't believe that it's possible for me to have a poor dining experience at their favorite restaurant (Mount Everest review, anyone?), I'm still willing to stop by for a second review and another chance. Many people claimed that I would have a difference experience, especially if the owner was on site. Sadly, it wasn't dramatically different and one lunch was painfully sour. I stopped by Obee's on my way home from spending the morning at the Gardens on Spring Creek to participate on a panel discussion about young professionals in Fort Collins for city representatives visiting from Springfield, Missouri. It was lunchtime during the week and I was the only one waiting in line. I didn't see this as a favorite spot for many as was exclaimed by reader comments. Nevertheless, I ordered the exact same thing I did during my first review - a grilled chicken sandwich on wheat bread with vegetables. Although, this time I got mustard instead of the sundried tomato pesto mayo. I also ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup as a side. Taking the advice of readers, both of my returned visits were during the afternoon and not a late dinner. I'm also assuming that Lou was there and the one who made my sandwich (I didn't see a name identifier anywhere other than a bobble head and I'm unable to officially identify through Google images). If this was the case, my service was quite possibly one of the most uncomfortable I've had in Fort Collins in a very long time. After kicking around the reluctance to return, I remember the second chance I didn't give them in the initial review. I really didn't want to come back. I actually hated the idea of it. But, I did. I returned again with the kids after school. They split a grilled cheese and vegetable sub. I ordered a roast beef with the sundried pesto mayo. Our service was better with a couple of different employees. There were smiles and it didn't seem like my sandwich was a burden. There was happy, authentic conversation at the register. The kids and I left smiling. That's really all you can ask for and expect. The sandwiches were mediocre just as the one I ordered the other day. For their benefit, nothing was terrible like it was during my initial review. I didn't feel like I was served something that shouldn't have been. But, there was nothing exciting, outstanding, or impressive that makes then stand out from other sub shops in town. It was just a simple sandwich that could be compared to Silvermine. I may not be the most forgiving person out there, but I am willing to give second chances. I've learned that I need to trust that gut feeling a little more often when I need to give someone the benefit of the doubt. This review is an excellent example. My impression of their food improved only slightly, and I did take another risk with service. I really did give it another shot. I'm not going to rush back, because I'm not evolved enough for third chances.

Stopped in last night for dinner. The counter service was friendly and fast. We got our sandwiches to go and when we got home I wished I'd ordered the 16'' instead of the 8". It was really really good. It's a bit out of the way but we'll definitely be back.

I LOVED the corned beef. Reuben was amazingly delicious - real rye bread, just like New York. Delicious bread and subs. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. The decor looks a little dated and old.

Can't believe I've lived here for 20 years and just came across this place! The sandwich menu and quality of sandwiches are fantastic! Love the bread, freshness of ingredients. I was a bit surprised that a smallish 8" sandwich, pickle, and soda could cost $9.75, but seems justified as it simply tastes better. I'll be back!

Ugh! What's so special about this place? I just tried it once and got a chicken breast something. I don't see much difference bet. this place and a Subway, or any deli counter, like Soopers. Didn't see anything unique or interesting to order, the place looked sad inside, it was real dead after the lunch hour, and the bread was lousy. Located in a depressing, getting run-down strip mall, their behind the counter prep areas didn't exactly look impressively clean. Call me a snotty snob, but I do eat Quiznos, Delizone, Panera, and even Subway on occasion. Why go here?? Lemme upload the photo of my meal when I get home, it was sad looking, and tasted about the same!

This is one of the places I frequent the most in Fort Collins..... We go there at least once a week and are never disappointed. We always get the same thing: a #6 (turkey/salami) and a #7 (the gutbuster). They fresh-slice every single one of their meats and they also have fresh veggies. Their bread is to die for and is baked fresh each day. If there's ever something that doesn't look super fresh, I Just ask the guys that work there to replace it with some veggies that look like they are a little bit more fresh. The guys that work here are great, and we've become friends with all of them. They remember our orders and it feels a little bit like "Cheers" when we go there........ "Where everybody knows your name...." Who doesn't want that?

Just tried them for the first time while I'm at work because they deliver. For a cheaper price than Jimmy John's and all the toppings I wanted! I had the Grilled Chicken Breast Cheese with Lettuce, Tomato, Cucumber, Ranch ($5.95 for 8"). The only toppings they charge extra for are Bacon and Guacamole($.65 for 8" and 1.30 for 16"). It was really good, the ingredients were fresh and there was a generous portion of chicken and the other toppings. I tried the Creamy Tomato Bisque Soup ($2.95) and it was decent (I've had better) and a small brownie ($1.25). It was $14 with a $1.50 tip for delivery.

Very nice sandwich shop. Like Subway and Silver Mine, it's the fast, make-it-in-front of you style place. I love going there in the evening where they have a deal for a sub, chips, and drink for fairly cheap. The staff is relaxed and friendly and for some reason there are board games nailed to the wall. Interesting design choice, but fun to look at. In a town full of high quality sandwich shops, Obees stands tall among them.

I love this place. Everything is fresh all the time and good, quality ingredients. My favorite is the chipotle mayo! The people are so friendly and they have a loyalty card.

4.5 stars!! I love that the fresh cut meat and cheese and the bread is nice and fluffy (unlike some certain chain who toast there subs so you don't notice they're stale). I always get the same thing (not good at trying new things.... turkey, ham and cheese on white with all kinds of goodies on top. In high school we went to a place called Mr. Goodcents. and Obees tastes just like goodcents. I also heard a rumor that it is the same guy, I should probably investigate. AND they have eileens's cookies soooo tasty. The only thing I wish they had was a medium size drink. You can either get a teeny tiny soda or a giant big gulp size. I just want a medium. Oh and the best time to go is after 5 so you can get their deal.

Once upon a time as an undergraduate I needed a job and I found myself working at Obee's. Since then, I have been addicted to their sandwiches! Hard to find a place with as fresh of food and Obee's; fresh bread, deli sliced meat to order, and veggies. Plus there is a large variety of sandwiches you can order with any and all of the fixings that you want! They have all the veggies, tones of sauses, several types of cheese, and will even toast your sub. I've heard complaints that the sandwiches can be a bit pricey, but my husband and I usually just share a 16" sandwich which costs several dollars less than both of us getting 8" sandwiches. My Obee's picks: Spicy Bird (Turkey, Pepperoni, and Capicola), Turkey, Meatball, Roast beef, and Broccoli Cheese Soup.

Food wise, pretty good. But the size for the price was a little out of whack. Got the half size, just was not enough to fill my and I am slim. Had to whip up a PB sandwich after I finished my one from the deli.

(this is totally a four and a half star.) obeeeeeeeeee's! where have you been all my life?! last night we "nearby restaurant"-ed the iphone yelp app, and obee's was first on the list, which i think was fate. i like: -the board games on the wall -FRESH SLICED MEAT AND CHEESE -the name -the SANDWICH oh ma GOD. just turkey, salami and provolone with honey mustard and it was a flavor EXPLOSION. and, the meat was sliced so thin i didn't know what to do with myself. the bread rocked too. mainly, everything rocked. -the fact that they have a checklist/menu that you can fill out and turn in to them. i didn't even use it, but they had one, and i'm a sucker for check lists that i get to fill out. -it was cheap! and i'm broke! only improvement i would make would be a little update a la interior dec. i love the board games on the walls, but everything else seems a liiittle out dated. however, as satisfied as i was with my paper-wrapped sandwich, count me in, obee's!

Great sandwiches and great staff. I would recomend going after 5pm, they have a great special. I prefer their hot subs, pulled pork is to die for, chicken ceaser rules. I go here at least once a week.

not that psyched on this place. i thought that the bread on my sandwich was a bit stale. with so many other good places in town, its hard to want to come back here.

  • Nicholas G.

The Pulled pork sandwich was amazing, i enjoyed having wheat as an alternative to stripped of all quality white bread. The two sandwich makers were very friendly, the down side was the 10.50 price tag on the larger size sandwich. I recommend you make a stop here and see why it's been voted best sandwich shop.

The low-carb turkey and cheese wrap was wonderful. The wrap was fresh and flavorful. The staff was very courteous. They also deliver which is great.
